Free domestic abuse awareness training for businesses
People in domestic abuse situations are easily targeted at work as the abuser will know where they are.
The free training can help you to:
- Spot the early warning signs of domestic abuse.
- Know what to do if an employee says they're experiencing domestic abuse.
- Make you and your employees aware of the local specialist services which can offer support.
- Develop a domestic abuse policy.
After the training, you'll receive:
- A certificate to show you've completed the training.
- Resources for your workplace with helpful contact numbers for those who may need them

Cut It Out - training for hair and beauty professionals
You can access a free 2-hour training session if you work in a hair or beauty salon.
The training will include information about:
- Different types of domestic abuse.
- How you can recognise the signs of domestic abuse in your clients.
- What to do if a client says they're being abused.
- Domestic abuse services and support you can tell your clients about.
After the training, you'll receive:
- Resources for your salon to use as you feel appropriate.
- A follow-up session around 3 months after training to check in with you and offer you further support.
- A pin badge which we encourage you to wear as your clients may recognise the badge or it may prompt a conversation on the topic of domestic abuse.
- A certificate of participation.
