We have set up a range of policies and strategies that:
- Guide our actions and make sure we promote fairness and tackle inequalities.
- Show our dedication to removing barriers and improving outcomes for people with all protected characteristics as outlined in the Equality Act 2010.
- Include local priorities, such as supporting carers and Armed Forces members.
- Prevent illegal discrimination, harassment, victimisation, and other prohibited conduct according to the Equality Act 2010.
- Make sure everyone has equal opportunities, whether or not they have a protected characteristic.
- Promote good relationships between people with and without protected characteristics.

We follow the requirements set in the Equality Act 2010, including the Public Sector Equality Duty, to make sure we:

- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
