Awards and recognition in 2022
These are some of the awards we won in 2022.
Children and Young People (CYP) Now – Best Public Sector 2022
Rochdale Borough Council and HMR Clinical Commissioning Group have created a multi-agency alliance to improve support and outcomes for children and young people requiring SEND support. The alliance worked with children and their families to create a set of outcomes to underpin its actions and developed minimum standards for early help services to reduce the pressures on specialist therapies. More children are now receiving early help and more professionals are accessing specialist training. The team has reduced waiting times for autism diagnosis and commissioned 3 new peer-led projects.
Britain in Bloom Awards
We've scooped a top award at the biggest and most prestigious horticultural competition in the country, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom.
Rochdale was chosen to represent the North West in the 'small city' category for the second time in the national finals.
We achieved a Gold award and overall category winner with our partners, Rochdale in Bloom, local businesses and volunteers. We beat big hitters including Bath, Canterbury and Burton.
