Choosing a brass instrument to play

Play the trombone

The trombone changes its pitch in a different way from the other brass instruments. Instead of using valves, the player moves a slide to change the length of the tube. Of all brass instruments, the trombone has changed the least from its early ancestors.

The trombone is a very versatile instrument used in orchestras, wind bands, brass bands, jazz and pop groups.

A trombone.
