Plans for The Northern Gateway - Heywood and Pilsworth
Working alongside landowners and stakeholders, Rochdale Borough Council and Bury Council have started work on a draft document about our shared plans.
This document is called the Northern Gateway Development Framework.
The purpose of the Northern Gateway Development Framework is to provide information about the plans including:
- How the site is likely to be developed
- Areas of the site that will be protected
- A comprehensive masterplan
- Design principles
- A guide about the development
Have your say on The Northern Gateway - Heywood and Pilsworth
- We're aiming to get the draft version of the Northern Gateway Development Framework approved and made available for you to comment on by December 2024.
- Following this period of public consultation, we'll then consider your feedback and develop our plans further.
- After the Northern Gateway Development Framework is finalised, it will be presented to the Cabinets of Rochdale Borough Council and Bury Council to be adopted as a supplementary planning document. Supplementary planning documents feature more information about what is expected at the site and are used when submitting an application for planning permission. It does not mean planning permission has been granted.
