About computers in the library
Who can use a library computer?
If you're a library member you can normally use a computer at any of our libraries for up to 2 hours a day.
If you're not a member already, find out how to join the library.
If you're aged 13 or younger, you'll need your parent's consent to use a library computer. We asked for this consent when you joined the library. If they did not give their consent when you joined, they can contact us at any time to give it now.
Do I need to make a booking to use a computer?
No, there is no need to book to use a computer at even our busiest times as there are generally plenty of computers available. If you do wish to book a computer please speak to a member of staff at the library.
Using your own device
If you want to bring your own device, like a tablet or laptop, to the library, you can connect to our free public wifi.
Other ways to use computers and get online
There are other ways you can get free access to a computer and the internet. Some centres will provide help if you need it.
