Borrow toys from Heywood Library

A local charity called Littleborough Families Association donated a selection of new toys to the library service. 

The association asked for the toys to be kept at the library so they can be borrowed easily by residents.

Types of toys

There are over 100 toys to choose from at Heywood Library suitable for 0 to 3 year-olds, including:

  • Puzzles and jigsaws
  • Educational toys
  • Baby toys

How to borrow

Anybody who is a member of Rochdale libraries can borrow and return toys for free from Heywood Library.

To borrow a toy:

  1. View the toys in the online library catalogue or browse the folders in the libraries. 
  2. Go to Heywood Library and take your library membership card with you. View Heywood Library opening times and directions
  3. Speak to a member of staff in the library and tell them which toy you'd like to borrow. They will get the toy for you and issue it to you.

Number of toys you can borrow

You can borrow one toy for 3 weeks.

You can renew the toy if you'd like to keep it longer.

Benefits to borrowing toys

There are a number of benefits to borrowing toys for your child to play with, such as:

  • It's good for the environment as toys get reused instead of being thrown away.
  • Your child can try different toys before you buy them.
  • You'll save space on toy storage.
