Oral health

Oral health is a key part of your overall health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Many oral diseases are preventable and are caused by range of issues, including:

  • Sugar consumption.
  • Tobacco use.
  • Alcohol use.
  • Drug use.
  • Poor hygiene.

Get regular check-ups with your dentist

Don't put off getting a check-up with your dentist.

It's important to get regular check-ups to make sure you have the best oral health. Detecting problems early can mean that they're easier to treat.

If oral health problems aren't treated early enough, they may lead to damage that's harder, or even impossible, to repair.

The time between check-ups can vary from 3 months to 2 years, depending on how healthy your teeth and gums are and your risk of future problems.
