Getting to Rochdale Feel Good Festival

Festival location: the festival will be held in Rochdale Town Centre, the main stage is at Rochdale Town Hall Square, The Esplanade, Rochdale OL16 1AZ and other events will be held at various indoor venues.

The best way to travel will be by bus or train with plenty of services operating to and from the city centre.

Bus

Consider catching the 17 bus from Shudehill Interchange to Rochdale Interchange, with services operating up to every 10 minutes on Friday and Saturday, and up to every 15 minutes on Sunday.

Travelling from Oldham? Hop on the 409 bus, which will take you straight to the heart of Rochdale and in short walking distance to the festival. Services operate up to every 10 minutes from Oldham Bus Station on Friday and Saturday, and up to every 20 minutes on Sunday.

A bus replacement service is operating every 12 minutes calling at all stops between Oldham Mumps and Rochdale town centre due to the disruption to tram travel. Replacement buses will be clearly marked as such.

Rochdale Transport Interchange is about a 5-minute walk from the main stage area.

Train

A frequent rail service can take you from Manchester Victoria to Rochdale Railway Station which is then a 10-minute walk into the town centre.

Tram

Tram travel is currently impacted by an ongoing disruption. Due to a landslip, no trams are operating between Rochdale town centre and Oldham Mumps.

A bus replacement service is operating every 12 minutes calling at all stops between Oldham Mumps and Rochdale town centre.

You can catch a tram from Manchester Victoria to Oldham Mumps where you can change onto a replacement bus service. You can learn more information regarding this by visiting Transport fot Greather Manchester’s (TfGM) website.

Taxi and private hire – pick-up and drop off

There will be road closures in place for the festival. This means you if you’re using a taxi or private hire vehicle Newgate is the closest taxi rank to the venue. It will be available from 6pm, Saturday, 10 August 2024 to 1am, Sunday, 11 August 2024.

By car – if you're parking

Festival parking in Rochdale town centre council car parks is free for the first 3 hours but you must display a ticket. There are also privately run car parks in the area, see their tariff board for details.

By car – dropping off without parking

The best place to be dropped off in a car by friends or family is the roundabout near Rochdale Police Station, The Esplanade, Rochdale OL16 1AG

There's plenty of room here to drop off and for short term waiting.

From this roundabout, it's a one minute walk to the main stage area.

By bicycle

By air

Manchester Airport is about 45 minutes away by train or car.
