Pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972
Notice is hereby given:
- That a casual vacancy has arisen in the office of councillor for the North Middleton ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, due to Councillor Peter Allonby being unable to attend meetings of the authority for a period of 6 consecutive months from the date of his last meeting.
- An election to fill the vacancy will be held within 35 working days.
- The person elected to fill this vacancy will hold office until the 4th day after the ordinary election of councillors in May 2026.
