Rochdale Music Service provides high quality music tuition into schools across the borough of Rochdale and from our music centre at Rochdale Town Hall. Each week we teach on average 7,000 children in 80 venues and over 300 within our centre. Whatever your musical interests, your standard of playing or age, we can teach you and have different levels of groups for you to join. Music can transform people's lives, improve their health and wellbeing and provide a lifelong hobby and interest – this service can provide all of this in a friendly and accessible way.

- Address and contact details, including email address.
- Age or date of birth.
- Photographs.
- Attainment or educational data.
- Financial, for example, bank details.

- Education (Pupil Information) Regulations 2005
We're allowed to process personal and sensitive data for the following reasons under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Articles and the Data Protection Act:

- Public task or statutory function.
- Explicit consent of the individual.

- This service doesn't make any decisions using computers or programmes that don't involve a human being when using your personal information.
- How long we keep your personal information
- We keep personal data relating to school pupils for a minimum of 25 years from the date of birth of each pupil, or for an additional length of time if necessary. We keep personal data collected in relation to private instrument tuition, including financial information, for a minimum of 6 years from the date of contract / record creation, or for an additional length of time if necessary. We keep personal data collected as part of an entry into the Rochdale Music Festival process for a minimum of one year from the date of collection, or for an additional length of time if necessary.

This service doesn't transfer your information outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
