Introduction

We manage the land and property belonging to the council. We're responsible for:

  • Management and letting of premises leased to third parties.
  • Industrial estates management including new lettings.
  • Management of garage plots, garden plots, agricultural and grazing land.
  • Management of temporary lettings, rights of way licences, bore hole licences, site compound licences.
  • Sales of council owned land and buildings.
  • Preparation of asset and rating valuations.
  • Acquisition of properties through Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) and agreement.
  • Valuations of council owned land and property.
  • Land surveys.
  • Property review and corporate property advice.
  • Special projects linked to affordable housing programmes and regeneration.
  • Staff accommodation moves.
  • Staff move frequently asked questions (FAQs), process flow charts and change request forms.
  • Management of Council occupied buildings.
What personal information we collect

We collect personal information to make sure that we can carry out our work. The personal information we collect includes:

This service doesn't make any decisions using computers or programmes that don't involve a human being when using your personal information.
How long we keep your personal information
We keep personal information collected as part of this process for a minimum of 6 years from the date of collection, or for an additional length of time if necessary.
Transferring personal information beyond the EEA
This service doesn't transfer your information outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

We do not routinely share data with any organisation outside the UK, but our website is available across the internet and we communicate with applicants and stakeholders wherever they are.
