The Employee Register of Interests is a corporate Register containing details of any financial or non-financial interests that employees have that could conflict with the Council's interests, or invite claims that they conflict. It forms part of our arrangements to ensure that we meet the highest standards of conduct and probity when carrying out business and serves to protect us and employees against allegations of impropriety or wrong doing.
We have a policy in place to register any gifts or hospitality in excess of £25. It is important that staff members are not placed in a position that risks, or appears to risk, compromising their role or the Councils public and statutory duties. Staff members should not be seen to be securing valuable gifts and hospitality by virtue of their job.

We keep personal information collected as part of this process for a minimum of 6 years from the date of collection, or for an additional length of time if necessary.
