- Introduction
-
As part of the universities' commitments to raising the standards of social work practice, they ensure that all students are provided with statutory experience in both their first and second practice placements. Experience of statutory work is an essential preparation for undertaking the complex role of contemporary social work and is a key experience sought by future employers. Placements can be in a variety of work places including Rochdale Borough Council. The university's placement team is responsible for sending the placement application form to us and we are responsible for reviewing these applications and deciding if the placement goes ahead or not.
