Adult Care has various strategies and plans which set out the aims and objectives and provide a framework for the planning and delivery of social care services. In order to manage social care services, we use information on the services customers have received to see what is working well and what areas we can make improvements in.
This helps to ensure we're complying with our legal and statutory obligations, national protocols and policies and our own internal policies. We do this by creating statistics and reports which help us to see how our services are being used and how they should be funded.
We also share some data about you with other organisations, for example, local authorities in Greater Manchester or NHS England so we can assess our performance and improve how we deliver our local care services. The shared information is used solely to produce aggregated reports at a statistical level to compare and assess our performance across Greater Manchester. This helps us to continuously and collectively improve our local services.
Although this shared information is about the services received by you, it does not identify you directly and we won't use it to make any decisions about you. The information is anonymised or de-personalised by, for example, using a number rather than your name, using an age range rather than your date of birth and using categories for the services you receive.
