- The Borough of Rochdale Compact – Implementation Guide
- Summary
-
The Borough of Rochdale Compact is an agreement between the local public sector and the third sector within the borough which aims to improve relations between the 2 sectors and ensure effective co-operation and collaboration to benefit the communities and residents of our borough.
The first local Compact was agreed and launched in 2006 and was renewed in February 2011 to reflect the changing social, political and economic environment.
The Borough of Rochdale Compact has been approved by the local public service board, which is a partnership that brings together lots of different public bodies and third sector organisations within the borough.
Each individual member of the local public service board has also considered what The Borough of Rochdale Compact means to their organisation specifically, and have signed up to upholding the commitments and to utilise them when involved in commissioning of services, volunteering, consultation and equalities.
