- The overall works will take place between Monday, 28 April 2025–Monday, 15 September 2025.
- The northbound lane will be closed to traffic from Monday, 26 May 2025–Friday, 30 May 2025.
- Reason
- To install new pedestrian crossing facilities and carry out other improvements to the road and pavements. These include drainage improvements, new road markings, carriageway surfacing and remodelling junctions with Buckley Lane and Spring Mill Walk to improve road safety and traffic efficiency.
- Restriction and location

Halifax Road: works will be carried out between Buckley Lane and Wardle Road.
Traffic will be able to continue to flow through during most of the works as one lane will be closed at a time. However, during the May school half-term holiday, a temporary closure will be in place for northbound traffic only.
- Alternative route

During the temporary closure to northbound traffic, a clearly signed diversion route will be in place.
At all other times, the works will be carried out using lane closures, allowing traffic to flow through.
