Reason: To install pedestrian crossing facilities in the road.
Restriction and location: St Mary's Gate (westbound): a section will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin at the junction with John Street and end at the junction with Spotland Road.

St Mary's Gate (eastbound): a section will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin at the junction with Spotland Road and end at the junction with Whitworth Road.
Alternative route: The alternative route for vehicles will be Whitworth Road, Howard Street, Sheriff Street and Spotland Road.
