- Name
- Preventing Drug and Alcohol Harm Strategy
- Summary
-
The Preventing Drug and Alcohol Harm Strategy sets out how different agencies, services and people with lived experience will work together and tackle the issues of drugs and alcohol across the borough of Rochdale. This approach will help to make Rochdale Borough a place where harm from substance and alcohol use is prevented by supporting our residents to build resilience to life’s challenges, and ensure high quality services are available for those who need help.
Reducing the harm caused by drugs and alcohol is a high priority for the Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership (RSCP), which enables the wider partnership to reduce crime associated with alcohol and drug use. The (RSCP) takes leadership of key elements of the strategy on actions related to prevention, early intervention and reducing associated crime.
The aim of this strategy is to work collectively with our key partners, focussing on prevention, treatment, recovery and community safety.
