Annual Report of the Director of Public Health for the Rochdale Borough 2021/22
In April 2013, councils were given back responsibility for public health and improving the health and wellbeing of residents. This gave us the ideal opportunity to enhance our public health approach to tackling the broader determinants of health, including employment, education, early years provision, transport, housing, community participation, inclusion and safety.
There are national and local changes required to improve outcomes for all residents in our borough. At a local level, we have many opportunities to work together and see real improvement. This report sets out some key recommendations for taking this forward.
