- Name
- Code of Practice for Town Planning Enforcement Service
- Summary
-
This code of practice aims to help our customers get the best from the Development Management Enforcement Service. It sets out our main areas of work and explains how we carry out our enforcement activity under the following aims:
- To ensure compliance with Town and Country Planning legislation within the principles of the Government's Enforcement Concordat.
- To set out what customers can expect from the planning enforcement service if they have an enquiry or complaint about the way land or buildings are being used, or about how a development is being carried out.
In order to get the best possible service, this code seeks to give clear guidance on what we can do, how you can help us and how we balance demands on our service against the resources available to us.
