Education Other Than at School (EOTAS): section 19 policy

“All Rochdale children and young people, achieve their full potential”. 

There are 3 priorities to realise this vision:

• Priority 1: Children and young people in our borough will be kept safe from harm.
• Priority 2: Children and young people in our borough will live longer and with better health and wellbeing. 
• Priority 3: Children and young people in our borough will aspire and achieve a better life through learning.

This includes making sure that children and young people of compulsory school age receive a suitable education either at school or otherwise than at school.

This policy describes how we will achieve our commitment and meet our duties under relevant national legislation and guidance.
