Introduction

The Fair Access Team's core purpose is to support schools in establishing steps to fair access, including Safeguarding, Children Missing from Education (CME), Elective Home Education (EHE), behaviour management and co-ordination with multi agency groups.

We co-ordinate the implementation of the Fair Access Protocol so provisions relating to exclusions, managed moves and hard to place pupils have been applied in a fair and appropriate manner that is compliant with statute.

  • Address and contact details including email address
  • Age and date of birth
  • Ethnicity or nationality
  • Identifiers, for example, National Insurance number, passport number, driving licence number and vehicle registration number
  • Attainment and educational data
  • Health and medical records including disabilities
  • Crime and offending data

We're required by law to monitor all exclusions and manage school moves. This is detailed in legislation and guidance including:

  • Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006
  • Crime and Disorder Act 1998

How long we keep your personal information
We keep personal information collected as part of this process for a minimum of 25 years from the date of birth of the child or for an additional length of time if necessary.
Transferring personal information beyond the EEA
This service doesn't transfer your information outside the EEA.

We do not routinely share data with any organisation outside the UK, but our website is available across the internet and we communicate with applicants and stakeholders wherever they are.
