For the Christmas holidays 2021, February half-term break 2022 and Easter holidays 2022, we'll be providing food vouchers to support those who may need it.
Children who are registered with us as being eligible for income-based free school meals are eligible for the food vouchers. Some groups of children who are supported by our Children's Services will also be eligible to receive a voucher.
If your child goes to a school outside of the borough, you won't receive a voucher from us. These, or an alternative, should be given by the school your child goes to.

- Age or date of birth

- Administer the collection or payment of taxes, benefits and other revenues

- Maintain accounts and records

We're required by law to administer food e-vouchers. This is detailed in legislation and guidance including:
- The Education Act 1996
- The School Standards and Framework Act 1998
We're allowed to process personal and sensitive data for the following reasons under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Articles and the Data Protection Act:

- Legitimate interests

We collect information from and disclose information to individuals and organisations that can support our work including:
- Council departments
- Partner agencies and service providers, for example, housing associations
- Schools, higher education and training providers
- Automated decision about your personal information
- This service doesn't make any decisions using computers or programmes that don't involve a human being when using your personal information.
- How long we keep your personal information
- We keep personal information collected as part of this process for a minimum of 6 years from the date of collection, or for an additional length of time if necessary.

This service doesn't transfer your information outside the EEA.
