Our Step Ahead Service is our local care leavers offer. Managed by our care experience team, we provide support to care-experienced young people between the ages of 16-25.
The team is made up of personal advisers to help you prepare to live independently. We're here to offer advice and support as you start planning for your future. Your personal adviser will talk to you about what support you need.
How can the Step Ahead Service help?
As you start to think about living independently, we can offer support with things like your:
- Accommodation
- Education, employment and training
- Finances
- Health and wellbeing
Who can access support from the Step Ahead Service?
To be able to get our support you must have been in care:
- For at least 13 weeks.
- After your 14th birthday, including some time after your 16th birthday.
