Citizenship ceremonies

Items to bring to your ceremony

Please bring:

  • Your invitation from the Home Office - this is either a letter in the post or an email including the PDF attachment
  • Your confirmation email or letter from the Register Office
  • One form of photo identification, such as your driving licence, passport, biometric residence permit card or travel document

If you don't bring all these things with you, your ceremony will be postponed.

Opening hours:
Monday–Friday: 9am–4.15pm (on the last Thursday of each month, 10.30am-4.15pm).

Saturday and Sunday: ceremonies only.

You must make an appointment to register births and deaths and give notice of marriage.
