Learning Disability Partnership Board

‚ÄčThe purpose of the Learning Disability Partnership Board (LDPB) is to bring together people with learning disabilities, their family members and professionals across key public services to ensure a joined up approach to developing and implementing the local Learning Disability Strategy.

The board is chaired by Councillor Billy Sheerin.

The board meets every other month for 2 hours and receives reports from professionals in adult social care, health, housing and education. Standing items include: family member issues, self advocate issues, service provider issues, safeguarding and reports from the following sub groups:

  • Self advocates
  • Carers
  • Providers
