Why we have a Local Development Scheme

We've created a Local Development Scheme for 2 main reasons:

  • To keep you informed about the preparation of the Local Plan, its topic and the areas they'll affect.
  • To set a timetable for the various stages in the preparation of each document.

We're also required to have a Local Development Scheme by law as part of the Planning Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
