Our programmed road improvement schemes

We've different programmes to improve the roads across the borough of Rochdale.

Current roadworks in Rochdale and across Greater Manchester

We carry out roadworks as part of the essential repair and improvement of our roads. Public utility companies also carry out roadworks to maintain essential gas, water, electricity and phone services. Some of these works may require the use of temporary traffic lights or temporary road closures.

Searching for roadworks and reporting issues: find out how long the works are expected to last, which organisation is carrying out the works and contact details for that organisation. If you have any issues to report regarding any roadworks, these should be passed on to the organisation undertaking the works.

Customising the map: select the 'filter' button, at the top left of the map, where you can zoom to a particular area, select a start date, select the anticipated impact in terms of traffic disruption and more.

Search for roadworks in Rochdale and across Greater Manchester - view roadworks on a map.

Roadworks on motorways: check for roadworks and traffic congestion on the motorways on the Highways England website.
