Your chance to say thanks - nominations open for council staff awards

16 July 2018

Picture of last year's ACE Awards.

Residents can now nominate a member of our staff or team they feel deserves recognition. Nominations are open for our ACE Staff Awards.

You could nominate someone who helps make your life better by dealing with your queries in a prompt and professional manner, or someone like a council gardener who ensures the grass and trees are well maintained. It may be that you know someone who makes a difference in your community, or someone who goes the extra mile in their work.

'Recognising commitment and excellence'

There are 8 categories to choose from, including a Community Action Award, Employee of the Year and Pride of the Borough Award.

Our chief executive Steve Rumbelow said the commitment and professionalism of staff has remained constant despite reductions in staff and budgets: "We value the brilliant work our staff do on a daily basis and the ACE Awards are a way of recognising their commitment and excellence for the community. I encourage everyone to use this opportunity. As well as those staff that are front-facing there are many others who work behind the scenes in operational and support functions that should also be recognised for their commitment to the borough".
