Rochdale's new gastropub, The Wellington, will be bringing sophistication and style to this summer's Rochdale Feel Good Festival.
The town centre eatery that opened in 2017 will be an official partner of our festival, trading at the event and hosting the aftershow party. The deal will also see The Wellington's logo on festival marketing and a series of warm up events.
The Grade 2 listed building which dates back to 1750 boasts a stunning restaurant and bar, packed with beautiful and unusual features from the 1920s and Victorian period.
'We're looking forward to welcoming visitors to The Wellington, joining the celebrations and helping to support this amazing festival'
Managed by Michael and Sarah Howarth who also run the successful Vicolo Del Vino wine bar nearby, the Wellington serves a classic British menu 7 days a week, all cooked from fresh. They also have a first floor function room due to open this year.
Michael Howarth said the team are very excited to be supporting the festival for the first time:
"Rochdale Feel Good Festival brings thousands of people into town and creates a real buzz about the place which we want to be part of. We're looking forward to welcoming visitors to The Wellington, joining the celebrations and helping to support this amazing festival. Festival goers will be able to extend their night out with our official aftershow party which we are very excited about."
Mark Widdup, our director of neighbourhoods, said:
"We are planning another superb festival and it's good news to welcome The Wellington as a new sponsor, another local business investing in the town and this great event. We have seen how the festival has grown over the last few years which is good for Rochdale and also our town centre businesses."
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Saturday, 18 August 2018, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall with headliner Feeder supported by indie rock band Cast plus many more to be announced, a quality food and drink court plus family entertainment.
