Indie rockers Razorlight will headline Rochdale Feel Good Festival this summer.
The band - fronted by lead singer Johnny Borrell - will top the bill for the tenth anniversary of our festival, taking to the main stage for a FREE show by Rochdale Town Hall on Saturday, 12 August 2017.
Razorlight were formed in London in 2002 and quickly became one of the key guitar bands of the following decade, selling 4 million albums, playing sold out arena tours and headlining festivals across Europe. Their debut album, 'Up All Night', reached number 3 in the UK and they won the NME Best New Band award in 2005. The album included the single, 'Somewhere Else', which reached number 2 on the UK singles chart.
Razorlight's self-titled second album went straight to number 1. The lead single, 'In The Morning', reached number 3, and 'America' went straight to number 1.
After being nominated for 2 BRIT Awards, and 2 more NME awards, the single 'Wire to Wire' from their third album 'Slipway Fires' went to number 3 in the UK and they headlined London's 02 Arena. They've supported acts including U2, Oasis, The Who and The Killers at some of the UK's biggest live shows.
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday, 11 and Saturday, 12 August 2017, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture.
The festival which is celebrating its 10th birthday will include live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall, a quality food court and family entertainment.
