3 more exciting and uplifting acts have been revealed for this summer's Rochdale Feel Good Festival.
Ska music stars The Uplifters will play the festival's main stage on Saturday, 18 August 2018. The 7-piece Manchester band, who enjoyed an incredible reception when they last appeared at the festival in 2015, play all forms of ska from Prince Buster and The Skatalites to The Specials and Madness. Mixing Jamaican music from the early 1960s with 2-tone rhythms from the late 70s to create their sound, the band has supported acts including Bad Manners, The Beat, and Neville Staple. For their Rochdale return they are promising another storming live set of well-known tunes along with some original material from their album, 'Who Turned The Lights Out?'
'This year's Feel Good Festival is shaping up to be another cracker'
They'll be joined by hot new international songstress Anna Pancaldi. All of her recent releases have made the top 10 of the iTunes singer songwriter charts and she's headlined 3 sold out shows in London with her haunting vocals gaining support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. Influenced by Carol King and Jeff Buckley, Anna has enjoyed success in both the UK and US (NYC, Nashville and LA), where she made her US live television debut on CBS LA. This month she's off on a European tour.
Another act confirmed for the main stage are new band VALA. The 4 piece from Manchester play their own brand of rock, mixing strong melodies and classic songwriting, inspired by the likes of The Killers and Weezer. Their energetic shows are earning them a growing reputation on the North West live circuit.
