A Middleton care home has been hailed after receiving an outstanding accreditation for the high quality of care it provides.

Hulton Care Home scooped the nationally renowned Daisy Award with a stunning 100 per cent rating.

The home is the first in the Four Seasons Group to receive the accreditation, underlining the high quality standard care it provides its 28 residents.

Our commissioning service is encouraging all care homes across the borough to achieve the Daisy Award and works with them to help ensure the highest standards of care provision.

Hulton Care Home, which is located at Clarke Brow in Middleton, provides a mixture of residential, nursing and respite care. It received a good rating in the latest Care Quality Commission inspection.

The staff can be proud of their achievements

Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Adult Care, said: "This is a fantastic achievement. Hulton has an inspiring and dedicated team who ensure a really high standard of care is provided for residents. It is a success story to cherish and I am thrilled for everyone involved in this really well run and managed care home. The staff can be proud of their achievements and as a council we will continue to ensure all care homes across the borough achieve the highest possible care standards."

Ellen Stack, Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at the home, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the Daisy Award, as we always aspire to provide the highest standard of care. None of this would have been possible without a wonderful team of hardworking staff. Our Daisy Accreditation is proudly on show in our reception area so families and friends of residents can immediately see our nationally recognised award."

Daisy Award is a national scheme that enables organisations to demonstrate they have met high care standards.
