Rochdale Borough Council’s adult care service took centre stage as scores of people attended its successful showcase week.
A series of well-received workshops, presentations and seminars outlined the innovative services adult care delivers to older and vulnerable people across the borough.
Staff from local care homes, health providers, the voluntary sector, education, housing and a range of other partner organisations engaged in the events.
Topics showcased included the work of principal social workers, sensory services, the role of mental health professionals, and how the service supports adult survivors of child sexual abuse.
Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, cabinet member for adult care, said: “We are delivering innovative services day in day out that make a positive difference to thousands of people’s lives. The week showcased this wonderful work and underlined just what a dedicated and talented team of staff we have across adult care. Well done to everyone who helped deliver an event to be proud of.”
