National Primary School Allocation day, Monday, 16 April 2018, will have been marked in the diary for a long time by parents and carers and now the wait is over with delight for so many.

90% of children have received their first choice school place, an increase on last year's 89.08%.

All children in Rochdale borough that applied for a place here have been allocated one.

'I’m really pleased that our first choice preference figure is so high'

Gail Hopper, director of children services, said: “Waiting for this day is a nervous, but exciting time, for parents, I’m really pleased that our first choice preference figure is so high. It is a huge credit to our admissions team and I wish every success to all children in starting their school journey in September.”

The online portal has offers on it now for parents to log in to and view. A follow up letter will also be sent confirming offer details.
