Car dealership backs Rochdale Food and Drink Festival

Councillor Janet Emsley with Paul Ashcroft. ​Car dealer Premier Kia have renewed their support for Rochdale Food and Drink Festival. The town centre dealership will be an official partner of the festival which returns on Saturday, 4 April 2020.

The Kia team based on Molesworth Street will be promoting the event to their customers across the region and showcasing vehicles at the town hall festival itself. The deal will also see Premier Kia’s logo on festival marketing, promotions to showcase the event and the range including the Kia Stonic.

Paul Ashcroft, sales manager at Premier Kia, said: “We had the privilege of supporting this festival last year and are pleased to continue our support of this fabulous event. It’s close by our Rochdale dealerships and partnering with the festival is a great way for us to support the local community.

"Rochdale Food and Drink Festival, which highlights what we have on our doorstep, can only be good for businesses. It creates a buzz around this great town with a load of interesting stuff going on for locals and visitors.”

Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council, visited the showroom this week and added:

“Premier Kia is a company known to many and I am pleased to see them continue to support the festival. We look forward to working with Paul and the team to strengthen this partnership. We’ve another fantastic line-up with more additions to our line-up to come. I’m really looking forward to it."

Television presenter Chris Bavin will be hosting the festival, introducing local favourite Andrew Nutter, Tom McNeeney from The Oxford, Adolfus Lewis from The Hare on the Hill in Littleborough and Noo Meenan from Rochdale’s Thai food experts Issan Friends.

The Festival Kitchen will be located inside Rochdale Town Hall along with stalls and activities. There’ll be an outside food and drink village, an indoor seating area to watch chef demonstrations on a big screen plus a live music stage and lots of other activities.

On the Family Stage, popular TV presenter and Gastronaut Stefan Gates will be performing his shows – promising hilarious, mind-blowing edible adventures with food and science stunts including food rockets, edible chemical reactions, magical colour-changing cocktails and more.

Rochdale Food and Drink Festival is on Saturday, 4 April 2020, open from 11am to 6pm.
