Ageing well JSNA

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) identifies key issues affecting the health and wellbeing of our residents, both now and in the future.

In England, around 66% of people over 65 have multiple health issues. As the majority of older people have existing health conditions, managing and coping with these is crucial to their wellbeing. We want older residents of Rochdale borough to have high wellbeing, a feeling of safety, to not feel isolated and to able to cope with long term conditions or ailments.

Whilst older people may face many health problems, they are in general an asset. Increasing opportunities to volunteer and give back to the community will support wellbeing and our separate goal of increasing the number of people volunteering.
