The Adult Care Blueprint aims to show at a high level what kind
of services we will be providing and at what point, how they will
be provided, who will be involved and most importantly, what
outcomes we will achieve by designing them this way.
This Blueprint is both a visionary document as well as a
realistic articulation of what we know and believe to be possible
with the resources available to us. Therefore it represents a clear
vision of how we see the Adult Care and Support service operating
in 3 years time.
Rochdale Adult Care Service, including Supporting People, has an
annual gross budget of over £90m. This Blueprint will explain our
performance and what we have delivered for this level of
investment. It will also look at the current context that Local
Authorities are operating in and what we are therefore planning to
focus on with reduced resources.
This Blueprint will not explain in detail everything that we are
attempting to do, as there is a large programme of activity
underway to develop the detail on this which, along with the
principles of the Blueprint, will be subject to consultation with
partners, users, carers and staff as well as agreement from Elected
Members. However this document is important because it informs
staff, members and colleagues in other organisations what we intend
