We aim to be recognised as a leader of equality and community
cohesion in our work and as an example of good practice in the
delivery of services and employment. This Single Equality and
Community Cohesion Policy for Rochdale's schools outlines our
commitment to the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty
and reflects our ambitions and activities that will deliver
this.
Equality of opportunity and social inclusion issues will ensure
that all school communities can truly benefit from and contribute
to the improvements we are making that will bring long-term and
positive benefits for Rochdale Borough. Therefore the school's
Single Equality and Community Cohesion Policy will require
ownership by governors, senior leaders, all staff, the school
community and the pupils in order to succeed.
