In September 2019, Rochdale was named as one of 101 places in the UK to share in the £3.6 billion Towns Fund. The funding aims to ‘support towns to build prosperous futures’.
How we can use the Towns Fund
We can spend the money on improving transport, boosting broadband connectivity and providing social and cultural infrastructure.
The government chose the area where we can spend the money which covers Rochdale town centre, Castleton, Smallbridge, Balderstone, Deeplish, Norden and Kingsway Business Park.
Tell us how to use the Towns Fund
We'd love to hear your suggestions on how to spend the Towns Fund money. In particular, we're looking for suggestions which will help us to improve skills and transport, create new jobs and regenerate the community.
You can tell us where you'd like to see improvements and what you think the priorities should be for this funding through the Towns Fund Consultation.
