From 1 January 2021, Rochdale Register Office will no longer be located within Rochdale Town Hall. It is moving to a new home at Number One Riverside in Rochdale town centre as the town hall is closing for renovations.
All Register Office services will be available from Number One Riverside, including marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.

what happens on the day of the ceremony
- Receive your civil partnership certificate
Certificates for your civil partnership
At your ceremony you'll be presented with a commemorative certificate.
Once the partnership registration has been updated on the computer national database, you'll receive a certified certificate to confirm the registration of your partnership. Your certified certificate will usually be available for collection or posting the next working day.
