How to form a civil partnership
You'll need to follow these steps to form a civil partnership.
- See who can form a civil partnership.
- Find locations for your ceremony.
- Provisionally book your ceremony.
- Give notice of civil partnership.
- Choose your promises.
- Have your ceremony - if you're having your ceremony at Rochdale Register Office, find out what happens on the day of the ceremony.
- Receive your civil partnership certificate.
Certificates
You will not receive a certificate on the day of your civil partnership registration.
It will be issued 5 working days from the date of your ceremony as the Register Office is required to add the details from the signed schedule to the electronic register.
You can choose to collect your certificate or have it posted to you.
