​The charity is reaching out to t​he tens of thousands of ex-Service men and women who are now battling severe sight loss, who could be eligible for support but who currently do not realise it. It doesn’t matter when or how a veteran lost their sight, or when they served, Blind Veterans UK can help. If you care for a veteran with sight loss, or know someone who does, request Blind Veterans UK’s free, lifelong support.

A non-profit organisation run soley by volunteers. It was created to meet the needs of local service personnel (both past and present) and their families. Key feature of LVA:
  • Providing comfort/welfare parcels to serving troops.
  • Supplying clothes to wounded personnel in hospital.
  • Providing advice for bereaved families in times of need.
  • Help in obtaining replacement medals, military family history and adding names to the new Heywood Memorial Wall.
Military Veterans ServiceAn NHS psychological therapy service working with British ex-service personnel, across the North West. Their aim is to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of ex-service personnel and their families.
